Covariance matrix augmentation to produce adaptive array pattern troughs

An adaptive technique is presented that produces array pattern troughs in response to discrete sources of interference. The technique is implemented by a simple modification of the measured covariance matrix, and results in forming similar troughs centered at all sources of interference.
