We have demonstrated via simulation, the Joint Probabilistic Data Association Filter for an Electronically Scanned Array. Our implementation is capable of handling large numbers of targets illuminated at arbitrarily spaced time intervals. We have examined the effect of track update interval and target number on track position bias and coalescence. The position of the track bias critical point is strongly dependent on the update interval. The agility of an ESA can therefore be used to the advantage of the tracker to control the position bias critical pint by adjusting the update interval.
