OBSTACLE DETECTION IN RAILROADS USING ADAPTIVE MASKS
Joan‐Josep Climent, Antoni Grau, Joan Aranda · 1998
This paper describes a vision system which allows for tracking the direction of train lanes and detecting sudden changes in continuity. The vision system uses adaptive masks to determine the edge and variation of the rail orientation. The masks are circularized and lead to a higher rate of accuracy than that achieved by classical operators.
