A Bayesian Methodology for Effects Based Planning

Bert Bullen · 2006

We present a methodology that employs Bayesian Networks in aiding Effects Based Planning. The network models the probabilistic dependencies between elements of the domain of interest in which a mission is being planned, the actions taken on those elements and the effects resulting from those actions. The model can be interrogated from the perspective of the actions, the elements of the domain or, recursively, the effects. 1
