Abstract In this paper, a common solution problem is investigated based on a projection algorithm. Strong convergence theorems for common solutions of a system of equilibrium problems and a family of asymptotically quasi-ϕ-nonexpansive mappings are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space which also enjoys the Kadec-Klee property.
