Implementation of an automated forced-choice testingmethod
R. J. Buratti, G. A. Harasty · 2005
This paper describes the implementation of an automated forced-choice testing method for verifi cation of detection-system performance which permits real-time monitoring of statistical test results. Relocatable test software that utilizes the system's own data storage and processing resources permits accurate quantitative perform ance measurements while substantially reducing the need for additional online data acquisition or the need for offline data reduction computer resources and peripherals. In addition, normal displays of the detection function being tested are not im paired permitting a qualitative, visual verifica tion of the function operability. Future applica tions include the testing of new systems and online system performance monitoring and automatic system resource management.
