On the quantization error of Max quantizer

P. F. Panter and W. Dite (1951) found that the quantization error in each quantized region is constant for an optimum quantizer under the assumption that the number of quantization levels is large enough for probability density to be constant over each quantization region. In the present work, it is proved that quantization error in each region takes equal value for the Max quantizer.>
