Virtual agents could be a solution for companies that deal with maintaining personalized contact with high volumes of customers. Nevertheless these virtual agents must show certain emotional empathy when interacting with each different customer in order to enrich the communication of information. In previous research, we have developed several instances of computational systems able to generate relevant linguistic descriptions of data. In this paper, in order to increase the effectiveness and acceptance of the generated texts, we improve the advice messages to customers by including certain emotional content. We describe a project together with an energy supplier company where we have developed a prototype that demonstrates the viability of our approach.
