By using forensic speaker identification the number of suspects in a criminal investigation can be reduced. This paper presents a method of evaluation of forensic phonetic evidence by using spectral moments. In order to increase the validity and credibility, the method has been applied to two languages: English and Swedish. Results show similar tendencies between the languages implying that the method is language independent.
