A Semantic Web Enabled form model and restful service implementation [replaces: ActiveRaUL: A model-view-controller approach for semantic web applications]
Armin Haller, Florian Rosenberg · 2010
In this paper we introduce ActiveRaUL, a generic Web service, that coupled with a generic processor servlet, generates a user interface model for semantic Web applications. We also propose an RDFa User Interface Language, a user interface markup ontology that is used to describe the structure of a web form as RDF statements. ActiveRaUL operates and generates RaUL markup, that separates the control elements on a web form, the form model, from the data model that the form controls operate on. The relation between the form controls and the data model is achieved through a data binding mechanism. The form elements include references to an RDF graph defining the data model. The rendering of the instances of a RaUL model on the client-side are displayed in XHTML+RDFa elements.
