User-centered design of a lamp customization tool

Unique self-designed products are currently in great demand. The customization process of these products requires a good understanding of the customer's needs as well as tools that allow them to make the right choices. We provide a solution that enables users to design lamps that fit their needs and the interior design of their home. Our proposal is an Augmented Reality (AR) tablet application that allows customization in context. The solution was low-and high-fidelity prototyped in several iterations. Users enjoyed the customization process and expressed satisfaction that the app would enable them to create a lamp that is personalized and unique.
