Contribution to window designfor modulated lapped transforms

An optimisation of window design for modulated lapped transforms is presented as an improvement on the window design technique described by Malvar . It is based on analytical constraints for DC-energy compaction and the choice of initial conditions. The coding gain of the resulting filter bank is improved.
