Credibility of Routing Information in Wireless Sensor Networks

Jonathan Grant Page, Gerhard Petrus Hancke · 2022 IEEE 20th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN) · 2007

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are quickly becoming popular solutions for various scientific and commercial problems. Applications that call for large networks are becoming a wide spread occurrence. The difficulty in these large sensor networks is ensuring that the required information is able to traverse the network efficiently and reliably. Predominantly, information is routed through the network using flat or hierarchical architectures. This paper discusses the current problems with credibility in the WSN research field. Credibility is discussed briefly and an example of a routing protocol that exhibits some of these flawed characteristics is discussed. The protocol is then modified to create a newer more credible version where the results are shown and further discussed.
