An Efficient Method for Computation of Signatures

Genemtion of signature for a digital circuit is important in testing environment using data compaction methods. Typical data compaction used in testing is a Cyclic Redundancy Code (CRC). Hence fast software computation of CRC bits is required. This can be implemented via table lookup. In this paper, we present eficient algorithms to compute the CRC bits. The methods presented here can be used to genemte non-multiple of &bit signatures.
