An out-of-core sorting algorithm for clusters with processors at different speed

The paper deals with the problem of parallel external integer sorting in the context of a class of heterogeneous clusters. We explore some techniques inherited from the homogeneous and in-core cases to show how they can be deployed for clusters with processor performances related by a multiplicative factor.
