Spline-Wavelets of Minimal Support

For any finite dimensional univariate spline spaces S 0 and S 1 of the same degree, with S 0 ⊂ S 1 , we determine a basis for the orthogonal complement of S 0 in S 1 . This basis has minimal support and is of interest in wavelet decompositions. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
