ON STABILIZING AGAINST MODELING ERRORS IN A PENETRATIVE CONVECTION PROBLEM FOR A POROUS MEDIUM
Karen A. Ames, Lawrence Edward Payne · Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences · 1994
Continuous dependence on modeling results are derived for an ill-posed problem describing penetrative convection in a porous medium. Using a logarithmic convexity argument, we show that solutions to the governing equations backward in time depend Hölder continuously on changes in the form of the buoyancy law provided they satisfy certain constraints.
