Parameterization of Na¨ive Bayes for Spam Filtering

In this paper, I present the results of applying the Naive Bayes algorithm to the problem of filtering unwanted junk or “spam” e-mail. I explore the effect of several parameters including corpus size and feature extraction methods. I compare my results to several published statistical spam-filtering approaches.
