Powering the access network
D. Bogaerts · 1999
The upgrade of the access networks, in terms of bandwidth, has already started. This affects the structure of the network at the subscriber's entry point, i.e. the access node, or at the corporate subscriber's premises. Changes in the power requirements of these nodes are a natural consequence, calling for adapted products and solutions at an increasing pace. These requirements are analysed, and several examples of practical solutions are presented.
