The Association of Lift-Off Tape with Residual Ink Fracture Outline by Physical Matching

Typewriter identification has traditionally been that of associating typewritten impressions with the typeface used to produce the document. This process became increasingly more difficult with the advent of good quality typewriting systems. This paper illustrates the association of a typewriting system component, namely the correction lift-off tape, with residual carbon film within the text of a questioned typewritten document.
