On estimation of number of moving targets via frequency-diversity signaling

Yi-Syun Huang, Mourad Barkat · 2003

The performance evaluation of the determination of the number of diversely moving targets in a cell using frequency-diversity signaling is discussed. Information theoretic criteria are used in the analysis, and simulation results are presented. It is shown that by appropriately designing the subpulse frequencies, the system performance using frequency-diversity signaling is superior to that of the conventional array with a monotone frequency.>
