Development and Integration Issues about Software Engineering, Systems Engineering and Project Management Processes

This paper describes the steps taken by our organization to develop, implement and integrate software engineering, systems engineering, supporting processes and project management process over a period of six years. Background Oerlikon Aerospace (OA) is the integrator of an air defense missile system. The system consists of a missile launcher mounted on a tracked vehicle, together with radar and optical sensors, electronic control systems and communication equipment. Over 120 engineers are involved in the development and maintenance of the system.
