Validation of software effort models
L. F. Johnson, M.L. Smith, Anna Stevens · 2003
Several static models for software effort were examined on three data sets. Models applied to new data sets need to be evaluated relative to the quality of the data set and this can be benchmarked by fitting a least squares model to the data. This natural model can then be compared to the model that is being evaluated.
