Improved pitch prediction

This paper first provides an analysis of the periodicity generated with a pitch predictor as used in linear-prediction based analysis-by-synthesis coders. Next, several procedures are introduced which enhance the periodicity of the reconstructed signal in a frequency-selective manner. Finally, dithering of the PP delay is proposed to reduce excess periodicity in high-frequency bands.
