Common fixed point and solution of nonlinear functional equations

Convergence of a new iterative scheme, containing Mann and Ishikawa iterative schemes, for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings on a 2-uniformly convex hyperbolic space is studied. As application, we find a solution of a system of certain nonlinear functional equations in uniformly convex Banach spaces. MSC: 47H09, 47H10.
