DUAL QUEUE MANAGEMENT AS A METHOD OF IMPROVEMENT OF COEXISTENCE OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRAFFIC

Abstract – In the article, use of different queue management methods for queues with different types of traffic is proposed as a solution to problem of coexistence of elastic and inelastic traffic. The paper familiarizes with problem of coexistence of different types of traffic, briefly introduces selected queue management methods and presents simulation results of protocols performance when TCP and UDP flows use separate queues and different queue management methods are used for queues with different types of traffic.
