Richard W. Shoemaker · Mathematics Teacher Learning and Teaching PK-12 · 1983
There is a class of puzzle in which a list of statements is given and the solver is expected to determine correct associations or relationships from these clues. This type of puzzle is sometimes susceptible to a matrix or gridlike treatment where the relevant categories—such as first names, occupations, city of birth, and so on—w ill be labels for the rows or columns of one or more matrices.
