Low Temperature Sample Orienting Device with Two Degrees of Freedom

The purpose of this note is to describe a sample orienting device which has been used successfully at liquid helium temperatures to measure the high-field magnetoresistance of several single-crystal metallic compounds in a solenoidal field.
