External force generation for object segmentation on 3D ultrasound images using simplex meshes

Three algorithms of simplex mesh external force generation are presented. The algorithms are used for simplex meshes adaptation to manually traced object boundaries on several representative non-parallel cross sections of 3D ultrasound images. A morphing algorithm for the transformation between two simplex meshes is also considered.
