Amazing portrait [al·la prima]; process of drawing teapot (drawing of oils painterly rendering)

Ye Jin Ahn · 2006

Teapots come in different colors and shapes, varied as the many races of people in the world. My artwork plan is to create portraits of teapots that mirror the different races of people in terms of colors. The technique I use is similar to an alla prima oil painting technique using Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR). The NPR algorithm follow the natural process wherein a painter drawers a painting. The algorithm produces an image from an actual painting that captures details such as the texture of the colors and the shape of the brush used. This is an amazing portrait of a teapot.
