4QTestimonia (4Q175) was published by J. Allegro in JBL 75 in 1956, and then republished in DJD 5 in 1968. The text appears to have been written by the same scribe who wrote 1QS and it may be dated on paleographical evidence to the first quarter of the first century BCE.' In 1970, J. Strugnell published an article in which he noted that the waws and yods of 4Q175 were somewhat difficult to distinguish, and he disagreed with Allegro on the reading of the following words:2
