Applicability of XSL attacks to block ciphers
L. Xiao · Electronics Letters · 2003
The applicability of XSL attacks to block ciphers is examined. Some properties are discussed based on a toy cipher example. A method to evaluate a cipher's susceptibility to this attack is suggested with results applied to several currently proposed block ciphers, and a new S-box design criterion is presented.
