Building secure e-business systems

Over the past few years, Internet-enabled business, or e-business, has drastically improved efficiency and revenue growth of companies. Information is in the center of everything, and it is constantly under threat from many sources. Without proper protection, e-business applications can be susceptible to attacks or unauthorized activity. Security has been an elemental concern in e-business since its beginning in Middle East region and especially in United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is argued that e-business cannot attain its potential until the security concerns are addressed adequately. The survey results have been discussed in respect of security measures and their contribution towards consumers' decision-making processes.
