Starting a SIGCHI Local Group in the NetherlandsThe Start Since 1985 there has been in the Netherlands "Workgroup HCI" (in Dutch, werkgroep MCI) a Special Interest Group within the Dutch NGI, active in the Netherlands.This group organised monthly meetings within the Netherlands, as well as a number of conferences.A number of the active members of MCI were also members of SIGCHI, and in 1993, when CHI 93 / INTER-CHI 93 came to Amsterdam, the executive committee of the MCI provided the three co-chairs of the conference (Bert Arnold, Gerrit van der Veer and Ted White).
