A Message-Oriented Generation Method for Discrete Queues: A Case Study of Ship Transit Lock

Bo Wang, Junmin Mou, Weiming Tang, Yuanqiao Wen · 2011

This paper studies a DEVS(Discrete EVent System) Simulation on the VC++.NET platform, presents a message-oriented generation method of discrete queues , and implements dynamic control toward objects of system. By designing and optimizing the whole process from objects generating, and updating to destructing, the efficiency and fidelity of simulation system have been improved. As a case study, events of ship transiting the Three Gorges Lock is simulated, where firstly statistical analysis is carried out to extract the characteristics of transit, and secondly by using the List class of the generic array data, the dynamic traffic queue is flexibility simulated.
