Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in a day
Gary Bist · 2009
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is about integration, typically on a large scale. This hands-on workshop first defined SOA and gave a brief introduction to SOA concepts including the standards of Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). The WebSphere Integration Developer uses visual tools, which simplifies creating integrated applications. However, the underlying code was also shown and discussed. Finally, the workshops addressed how Ajax technologies such as IBM's Business Space widgets fit into the SOA picture.
