THE THEORY AND USE OF THE SUCCESS‐RATIO

David A. Walker · British Journal of Statistical Psychology · 1957

Abstract. The success‐function defined in this paper has been found useful in follow‐up studies of school children where entrance marks have been normally distributed. It provides a rapid method of estimating the product‐moment correlation between entrance mark and success when the criterion for success is of the pass‐or‐fail type.
