A Transistor Staircase Waveform Generator and its Application as a Storage Counter†

A linear straircase generator employing a transistor blocking oscillator is described. An application, of the device to storage counting in which the counting ratio can be varied smoothly and in a continuous fashion is discussed. Expressions for the counting ratio are also derived.
