The Arrival of the MSP

The first half of 2001 saw the emergence of a new breed of service provider, namely the MSP or Managed Security Provider. From an information security perspective, these providers are offering numerous security services, including outsourced firewall and VPN support and architecture, intrusion detection and response, security policy development, general security consulting, and more.
