An apparatus is described for the observation of.theresistance to passage of a soluble gas through a gas-liquid interface under dynamic:: conditions.The apparatus resembles an electrical a.c.bridge circuit and permits measurements to be made over a range of frequencies.•From the data one can test I various interface mass transfer mechanisms, including the effects of surfactants • on both stagnant and turbulent liquid surfaces.
