Palmprint Recognition Enhanced by the Shape Features

In this paper we present our original methodology, in which square-shape palm detection is merged with polygon-shape palm detection. Polygon shape detection is based on characteristic hand geometry points. Such approach increased both detection and recognition efficiency of our palmprint biometrics system.
