ACM-W Athena lectures

Andy Brown, Caroline Jay · ACM SIGWEB Newsletter · 2014

The ACM is keen to recognise and celebrate outstanding women researchers who have made fundamental contributions to computer science. One part of this is the Athena Lectures: each year ACM honors a preeminent woman computer scientist as the Athena Lecturer. The researcher receiving this prestigious award will give an invited lecture at an ACM meeting (usually a ACM SIG conference); expenses are paid, and the winner will receive a $10,000 honorarium.
