Continuous wavelet transform of potential fields with different choices of analyzing wavelets

In recent years the Continuous Wavelet Transform revealed a valuable method to describe the source properties of potential fields, but the choice of the analyzing wavelets was restricted to those belonging to the Possonian kernel, for potential fields Here we propose a new approach which allows any kind of wavelet to be used. The resulting algorithm is stable and may be applied to several cases by using each time the more suitable wavelet.
