Analysis of discrete-time space priority queue with fuzzy threshold

In this paper, we develop a discrete-time queueing model of fuzzythreshold-based space priority buffer management and study itsperformance under realistic conditions. It applies a matrix-analyticapproach to analyze the relevant performance measure, including thepacket loss probability of high-priority traffic and the packet lossprobability of low-priority traffic. Intuitively, the fuzzythreshold adapts well to different input traffic conditions andpacket loss rate requirements of high-priority packet, yielding alower packet loss probability for low-priority packet.
