An analysis/synthesis interface for Pascal compilers
William M. Waite, L. R. Carter · Software Practice and Experience · 1981
Abstract Many Pascal compilers are based upon a model which has two unpleasant properties: a large working set of procedures and lack of flexibility in object code structure. In this paper we analyse the source of these faults and describe an alternative model which avoids them. We then present the details of the key interface in the alternative model, as realized by a particular compiler.
