An initial zone-splitting design method for cellular telephone systems

This article provides an initial zone-splitting design method for cellular telephone systems as a step within a more comprehensive design of the cellular layout of such systems. The emphasis of the method is on the capacity problem, where the resulting design enables the system to accommodate the expected traffic with satisfactory performance.
