This paper and its companion paper (entitled part I - complexity analysis) together present techniques for low power realization of finite impulse response (FIR) filters using minimal difference differential coefficients method (DCM). This paper describes our algorithm and presents design examples. The companion paper presents the necessary foundation and terminology of the DCM. Experimental results show the average reductions of full adder, memory and energy dissipated achieved by our method over the DCM are 40%, 35% and 50% respectively
