The linearization of the Dirichlet to Neumann map in anisotropic plate theory

Let Pi M * be the Dirichlet to Neumann map associated with the equation of the transverse displacement of the plate Omega with elasticity tensor field M. From Pi M * one wishes to identify M. It is proved that the Frechet derivative of the map Pi *:M to Pi M * at the homogeneous anisotropic M is injective if and only if the discriminant of the polynomial does not vanish.
