Research on a New Method of Index in Three-Dimensional Space

In this paper we propose a CTR-tree index and corresponding operation algorithms. We divide objects into some clusters using k-means algorithm, and then establishes CTR-tree structure with 3D topology restriction for those clusters. The experimental results show that t the size of the nodes tends to be uniform by reducing overlap volume among adjacent nodes and it improves the search efficiency greatly.
