Gregory S. Kanter · Frontiers in Optics 2008/Laser Science XXIV/Plasmonics and Metamaterials/Optical Fabrication and Testing · 2008

A method of encryption that exploits irreducible quantum noise to enhance the security of traditional encryption algorithms will be described. The method is compatible with telecommunications infrastructure and performs on-par with standard optical communication methods.
